If I stay late (Sunday), what is there to do?

March 29th

Our Grand Slam Ride.

Escorted through the Louisiana back roads by the local Shriners Motorcycle Group. Leaving the hotel at 9:30.

These guys have light and sirens and are not afraid to use them. This will be a ride WITHOUT stopping for red lights or stop signs.  All we have to do is ride.  The $10.00 charge is a donation for the Shriners.   Of course there will be a meal involved and you are responsible for this charge.   We may be stopping at a seafood processing plant.

There will be bathroom stops and a ride on the Tail Of The Gator. This ride will end back at the hotel and will take most of the day.

If I come early (Wednesday) to the Rally, what is there to do?

March 25th, we will be taking you to New Orleans. There are 2 separate rides leaving the hotel at 9am.

Ride 2

This group will head directly to the French Quarter. Once there, you will park (there is a charge for parking) and then meet some local GWRRA members who will tell you about the French Quarter and direct you where the best things to see are located. There are many things to see and do in the French Quarter. Please click on the button above for some things to do in New Orleans After spending a day in the French Quarter, the group will depart for the hotel.

Ride 1

A riding tour down world famous St Charles ave and see the million dollar mansions all the way to the Central Business District. Then, a turn down Canal St on our way to eat lunch at a award winning New Orleans restaurant. After eating we will take a ride through Greenwood Cemetery to see how the locals bury their dead. After the cemetery tour, we will stop for New Orleans beignets. Before heading back to Houma, we will take a ride to see Lake  Pontchartrain.
